OK, so they are relatively expensive, but they are the best kitchen scissors I have ever purchased. A very smooth cutting mechanism and they also come apart easily (but not while in use!) for complete cleaning where others always get so mucky at the hinge of the blades. After 2+ years of use, they still perform as good as new. In fact, I was so happy with them I bought a second pair so there is always a clean pair handy. Recommended

These are very good scissors. I have small hands and find most scissors swivel about while trying to hold them. Not these, although the finger holds are large enough for big hands as well. Good blades that cut well. As a bonus they come apart for washing but this doesn’t make them unsafe to use. Cant fault them

bought 2 of these scissors at same time, they’re a lot stiffer compared to old ones we threw away (understandable)… but if the halves get swapped during wash, then 1 pair becomes so stiff it’s unusable, which indicates that there’s a problem with 1 of these scissors (50% of the purchase)

I didn’t realise how terrible my other scissors were until I got these.The herb stripper works great! The scissors themselves are really strong and you can tell they are good quality immediately. Have ploughed through everything I’ve thrown at them without complaint. Very impressed. Would buy again.

Firstly, I was a bit annoyed at the packaging. I bought kitchen scissors precisely because I don't have any, so why package these in such a way that requires kitchen scissors to open them!? Secondly, the first thing I tried them on (a cable tie on my dog's new Kong) seemed too tough for these scissors. Perhaps they're not intended for hard plastics, but my understanding was that kitchen scissors should be multi-purpose. That said, they do look nice and the thinking behind the herb trimmer component was clever, although I'm not sure how often I'll use them for that... They'll do the job I'm sure, but I wouldn't buy them again. There are similar products, possibly better quality (who knows!) going for less.

These are brilliant; these are a re-purchase as my old pair wore out after nearly 10 years of use. Sturdy, comfy and to take apart to clean and can cut neatly to dice or cut meat into strips. Herb stripper is useful too, especially for rosemary. (I am right-handed so unsure how a lefty would get on unless there is a left-handed option).

Good sharp kitchen scissors. But they come apart too easily. There is no ‘lock’ to hold blades together, they just separate when opened wide. Really sharp blades, and pointed ends. Have almost dropped them, pointy end down, into my foot several times! Not a great feature.

These scissors were bought as a replacement for my existing OXO Kitchen Scissors. What I like about this design of OXO Scissor is I find them well balanced and very robust. The scissors easily separate for cleaning so there is no build up of dirt and gunge on the hinge. My old OXO Scissors have been used daily for at least the last ten years, so I look forward to many years of good use from my new ones.

The scissors seem well-made, sharp and good at cutting. However, they seem to be designed to split apart, which evidently prioritises cleaning over usability. They simply fall apart on every use. Ridiculous, and returned immediately.

Tried many pairs of scissors from local suppliers and couldn't find a pair that were good enough for my wife to use. We then visited our daughter in NZ and used her OXO scissors. Bought these when we got back home and they were even better. May get another pair later.

I LOVE this pair of scissors. This is my second pair.The first pair I used almost daily for 7 years to cut everything in the kitchen; opening stubborn plastic food wrappers, herps, paper, garden twine, anything. They are my go to scissors for everything. They cut really well and while waiting for my new pair to arrived I realised just how good they are at cutting compared to the replacement scissors I attempted to used in the mean time. With other scissors it would take several goes at cutting stubborn food plastic wrappers, whereas the OXO would do it, easily and neatly, in one go, everytime.I love these scissors because they are high quality , scarp, cut amazingly, and practical: Any time they get even remotely dirty I just disassemply them in a seocnd, put them in the dishwasher, and they are ready clean for next time. -Essential for kitchen/house scissors.The first pair lasted me 7 years and were in the dishwasheer at least 2-3 timer a week. The only reason I wanted a new pair was because I saw the tiniest rust spot on them and for fear of 'flying' rust in the dishwasher I did not want to take the risk of keep using them.I think every kitchen should have one. But be sure to keep it in a fixed handy top kitchen drawer, so you can find them in a second. You will be amazed how you will start using them all the time, and get to love neatly openned cereal bags (less spillage).I love mine so much I bought 5 extra pairs this time, and have given them to family and friends just to help them in their days, and give them the joy of using a great tool. And I now think I will order more to give out as small leaving-home, thank you and housewarming gifts etc.JUST GET THEM and ENJOY.And have fun with the brain teaser of getting used to putting them back together again. Initially it took me quite a few goes but now it's done in 2 secs ;-)

These are sturdy, sharp well-made scissors. But they are not as advertised in the Amazon description “For easy cleaning, simply separate the blades. Stainless steel. Dishwasher safe.”. As I learned upon their arrival in our kitchen, it clearly stated on the packaging “Do not clean in dishwasher or allow to soak.”

Everyone should have a decent pair of scissors in their kitchen and these were bought when my old ones gave up the ghost recently. Having scoffed at the price online I did check in the supermarkets for a decent pair but found only mediocre scissors - some of which I couldn't even fit my fingers into! Fair enough, these are more expensive than the supermarket variety but they feel so much better made, fit nicely and are comfortable to use. Most importantly of all they work!Cleaning is a doddle too as they come apart very simply by opening them very wide and lifting them to separate, and it's just as easy to put them back together again. From what I've seen so far I can definitely recommend these scissors, particularly compared to what's available elsewhere.

Oxo good grips items are a firm favourite in my kitchen and this particular pair of scissors come high in that particular category. I keep them for meat only, and the design which enables the blades to separate for cleaning, ensures complete hygiene is easily achieved. Great product highly recommended.
