The stand is bronze/black and pretty sturdy. It also has felt on the legs so as not to scratch the table. The coasters are exactly as pictured and have a cork backing. I’ve had lots of compliments on them.

These are great coasters, with a great map! I love the "old world" style of the map, though you can tell it is mass manufactured rather than hand painted. In this day and age, that is not enough to remove a star. It is more of a heads up that you are not getting antiques. They have held beer glasses and bottles, coffee mugs, and the occasional cold soda. No complaints on durability. A great coaster, if this is what you are looking for.

The sealant that they put on to protect the image makes it a little less absorbent than most stone coasters, but still better than many other types. They look great on display.

The set looks reasonably nice, and the stand is fine, but like many others have noted, one of my coasters arrived chipped. It's small, but definitely noticeable. I don't know that it's even worth the aggravation to return, but it definitely bugs me. Also, the chipped piece wasn't within the sealed packaging, so it appears it was wrapped and sold that way. It seems pretty clear you shouldn't be surprised if you get seconds/irregulars from this seller - at full price.

Have had these about a year. They are very pretty. However, they don't absorbe water like I thought they would. There is always a pool of water under a cold drink and when the glass is picked up it sticks to the coaster.

I bought this as a gift for my uncle who had recently purchased a new house. He absolutely loved them when he opened them. A month later, he still goes on about these and how great they are. Highly recommend them!

Been using the same single coaster for maybe 6 months straight. No color bleeding or fading. Free from defects. Cork bottom so I don't scratch my desk. Dew doesn't seem to pool and drip off the sides.

We redecorated our living room in a British Colonial theme, with lots of maps and globes as decor. These fit in perfect. Great quality: sturdy stand, wonderful map detail and colors. The look beautiful sitting on the coffee table.

I heard the driver come up and throw the box containing the coasters on the porch. After he left, I open the box and one of the coasters was chipped. Wasn’t too happy about that. But they do look nice.

Great coasters. Love the design. Very weighty. Con: Easily breaks if dropped on a hard surface such as a floor. My daughter dropped it on the floor and it shatter in half. Smh.. Don't drop it on a hard surface.
