It's with a heavy heart that this pan takes over from my favourite Staub as my main workhorse. Not because of anything wrong with the Staub, just that this one is so good! As much as I like cast iron, there's just something about stainless steel that can't be beat for every day cooking. I now use it for all my pasta sauces. Minced meat for ragu browns beautifully. I even managed to fry (floured) chicken in here without it sticking, though cast iron is still better for that. It takes some time to come to temperature, probably more than than my cast irons, doubtlessly because the base is so thick! And of course because of that, it's great for sauces because the heat distributes well (I use a gas stove). The lid is wonderful as well, and I like that I can rest my cooking spoon on it. The lid handle never gets too hot even when used for hours. The pan handles can get hot if the flame is near them, otherwise they're usually ok.

This is a really quality saucepan which is ideal for singles or couples who mostly want to halve recipes like curries, etc (if you are cooking for a family of several people then the 28cm one would be a better size). It cooks very well and evenly, but a word of warning - because it is a really good heat conductor, you need to turn the temperatures down from what they recommend in most recipe books (in one of my first attempts with this saucepan, I burnt a prawn dish by following the instructions for heat used in the recipe). The base in particular is very heavy (the whole saucepan is quite heavy) and thus takes a minute to heat up, and then when you turn it down it takes a little longer (not much, though) than most saucepans to cool down. It is very very easy to clean. I use a gas stove and I was worried about burning my hands on the handles and bought some neoprene mitts just in case, but I haven't needed to use them. It might be an issue for some of the smaller saucepans, say the 16 or 20cm, but not this one. The only negative I can say is that the rainbow discolouration common to stainless steel happens relatively easily on the inside surface, and quickly, but this is a very minor quibble, does not affect the performance of the piece at all, does not happen at all to the outside which has a matte finish, and happens with almost all quality stainless steel saucepans anyway.

This is the pan we use for just about everything. The base is, large, heavy and completely flat, so it's great for evenly distributing heat and sautéing your onions properly. This is our first stainless steel pan, and we've never had problems with stuff sticking to the base – just use enough oil, moderate heat and deglaze with a little wine or water. This pan is huge and heavy, and the flat base makes it feel even bigger – make sure you and your hob are up to it!

Lieferung wie gehabt schnell und pünktlich. Jedoch war mit dem Öffnen des Fissler-Originalkartons schon ersichtlich, dass dies wohl eine ehemalige Rücksendung war. Dies bestätigte sich nach genauer In-Augenschein-nahme (siehe Fotos). Mit diesen Kratzern am Innenboden, auch wenn es nur sehr Feine sind, hat der Bräter die Fa.Fissler bestimmt nicht verlassen.Ein Hinweis mit Preisnachlass sollte zumindest erfolgen. Die Fissler Töpfe sind einfach unkaputtbar. Der dicke Boden leitet und speichert Wärme optimal. Ich habe meinen haushalt so nach und nach auf diese Edelstahltöpfe umgestellt. Deckel passen perfekt, wenn was überkocht, läuft es erstmal in die Vertiefung des Deckels. Der Preis ist hoch, ja, aber dafür können noch die Enkel damit kochen und braten.

Vengo confiando en Fissler desde hace 4 décadas. Tuve que cambiar mi batería de cocina de esa marca al cambiarme de la vitrocerámica a la placa de inducción. Las cazuelas y ollas Fissler de acero inoxidable, de todos los tamaños, que compré hace décadas en Alemania y que me acompañaron a España tras mi jubilación, han hecho la alegría de mi asistenta porque están como nuevas. Espero que las que compré en Amazon me salgan igual de buenas. Por cierto, la rustidera todavía no la he estrenado pero vengo usando las ollas que compré hace algún tiempo casi a diario y son estupendas...

Der Bräter ist sicherlich sein Geld wert. Gute und schwere Qualität zeichnen dies aus. Bei der Lieferung dachte ich zuerst ein einen Versand Fehler weil der Karton in dem der Bräter war, nicht mehr gut und schwer gebraucht ausgesehen hat. Nachdem der Bräter selbst keine Mängel gezeigt hat werde ich ihn behalten und kann ihn glaub ich weiter empfehlen. Für den Versand ziehe ich 1 Stern ab.

der große Bräter war noch ein Herzenswunsch von mir.Durch den schweren Boden heizen die Töpfe auf meinem neuen Flex-Induktionskochfeld superschnell auf,die Wärme hält sehr gut, meist schalte ich das Kochfeld schon früher aus, der Deckel schließt sehr gut ab, sodass wirklich mit sehr wenig Flüssigkeit gekocht werden kenn ( immer vorrausgesetzt die richtige Kochtemperatur natürlich), die Griffe sind sehr groß und sehr praktisch, werden nicht zu heiß und das Beste....sie sind auch hervorragend für Männerhände geeignet.Der Preis ist schon gesalzen, mir sind die Töpfe es wert, da ich viel koche und mal ganz ehrlich, wie oft schafft man sich schon Töpfe an????
