I bought this for my husband so he could hide his cereal from our teenage children and have it still be fresh. It has a tight seal and so far we have not had any issues with the cereal becoming stale and it has been in the container for about 3 weeks now.

This seals well and is mostly easy to you. Gave 4/5 because the cap doesn't stay lifted when you pour so it has to be a 2 handed operation which can be inconvenient.

I use this as a garbage container for my car with a bag in it, it works as expected and is air tight, which is what I wanted. I'm sure if I had cereal in it that would stay fresh.
