The LODGE Lodge Logic Double Dutch Oval L8DD3 is a new model with a deep lid and a handle on the kitchen oven loop handle. Lid can also be used as a skillet. You can roll a sponge cake or dish potato or flip it over for double sided cooking. After many years of research from Lodge, this is a ready-to-use. The Lodge Logic has been finished with a coating on the surface to give it a stately finished product that has been used for many years. LODGE Lodge was born in 1896 by Joseph Lodge in South Pittsburgh, USA. Since then, we have been adhering to cast irons with the belief that choosing good tools is the first step in creating delicious dishes. LODGE cast iron products are pre-seasoned with soy oil and factory use. Just pop it out of the box and wash it with warm water and you can use it immediately without any messy break-in. Cast iron features slow transfer of heat. Cast iron may be similar to stone than iron with high heat conductivity. Furthermore, the flesh build of 5 mm enhances its metallic properties. This gives you the heat control that other cookware can, and brings the flavor of the ingredients out of the core. It can be used for direct flames, induction heaters, halogen heaters, as well as in the oven. Not for microwave use

I bought this for the sole purpose of baking sourdough bread, and it has performed beautifully each and every time!I use a 9 inch round banneton & a 10 inch oval banneton for my breads and I found them to be the perfect sizes for this cast iron. I personally wouldn't recommend going any bigger than those sizes because you may find it difficult to place the loaves into the pan.I bought it when it was on sale for around $55.

I looked at many cast iron dutch oven's and not only were they incredibly overpriced, I couldn't find out how and where they were made. This pot is excellent quality and is made by a US Company that beautifully illustrates their manufacturing process. My bread turns out really well and of course, the price was excellent. I highly recommend this item. It even came pre-seasoned which I was very happy about as well. I highly recommend the company and their products. Good value for money.

Scrivo solo oggi la mia recensione in quanto credo sia giusto testare il prodotto prima di commentare. Eccellente e tornerei a riacquistarla altre mille volte, mi piace immensamente l'estetica e la qualità del materiale, un vero piacere ogni volta che la utilizzo. Con questa lodge faccio il pane senza impasto che riesce benissimo , l'ho destinata unicamente a questo uso ma credo che anche tutte le altre preparazioni possano riuscire benissimo.

I am really excited to purchase this 2 days ago during prime day sale. I recieved it today, delivery is amazing, packaging is outstanding, but this is so many IMPERFECTIONS the lid have uneven sides and at the bottom of it have dent. The body of the pot is terrible near the handle. It is not smooth at all! Even inside there is a dent. Crappy in total. I am so excited to use it but i will be returning it ASAP. Im sad cause I’ve been waiting for this on prime day. For canadians who is struggling to buy good quality product, prime day sale is a good solution. Now i need to purchased this again for the whole price without the prime discount. It sucks that i lost the chance to avail this in a discounted price.

Well made and sturdy. I love Lodge products, but only after I’ve stripped, sanded, buffed and re-seasoned them. Once that’s done, they compare to far more expensive products. The Dutch ovens are amazing. The top gets used as a skillet constantly and once seasoned properly, it quickly becomes a favourite. Use upside down to cook the best sourdough ever.

Dieser Dutch Oven ist ganz klar im oberen Preissegment anzusiedeln.Aber die hier gebotene Qualität rechtfertigt das durchaus.Ein klassischer Dutch Oven ist es so oder so nicht, aufhängen über dem Feuer geht nicht weil kein Bügel vorhanden ist.Mit Kohlen belegen funktioniert gut, allerdings kann man den Deckel mit den Kohlen nicht anheben ohne zu riskieren das Kohle in das Essen fällt, hier fehlt einfach der hohe Rand um den Deckel.Dieser Dutch Oven fühlt sich in der heimischen Küche ganz klar wohler, auf dem Herd etwas im Deckel ( der ja eine Pfanne ist) anbraten oder im Topf Eintopf zubereiten oder ein Brot darin backen sind ganz klar die Stärken eines Dutch Oven.Auch draußen auf dem Grill hat er seine Stärken, ein Steak aus der Pfanne/Deckel ist ein Genuss.Natürlich können das auch andere Hersteller, ich besitze auch Produkte von anderen Herstellern aber von der Qualität ist Lodge ungeschlagen.Der Guss bei Lodge ist sehr gleichmäßig, und die Oberfläche ist bei weitem glatter als bei den anderen Dutch Oven und Pfannen die ich habe, was sich spätestens bei der Reinigung und dem Ölen bemerkbar macht.

Ciò che mi piace è il fatto che si possa cucinare col fuoco lento e che soprattutto tenga il calore per diverso tempo, invece non mi piace e mi preoccupa é che nonostante il tegame venga asciugato bene si formi della ruggine non facile da eliminare, ciò vale anche per il coperchio!

Después de mirar y valorar otras opciones, nos decantamos por esta cazuela por los comentarios que tenía y por la marca. Resulta que en cada uso la comida se pega. Como si la dejo tiempo con agua para ablandar lo quemado, se oxida, no queda más remedio que fregar con estropajo. A continuación, en todas las ocasiones, la "curo" con aceite, pero la siguiente vez vuelve a quemar la comida. Y volvemos a empezar.Hemos comprado otra cazuela de hierro en el IKEA, más barta y está dando mucho mejor resultado. Reparte mejor el fuego en la base, mantien mejor el calor, no quema y no necesita tantos cuidados. Esa sí que la recomiendo. Esta no.
