The main reason I got this unit was that you could lock it and walk away while opening a can. It keeps dropping and spilling cans on my counter top. Regular size cans Bush Beans & Sweet Peas (16.5oz). It is also a bit tricky to puncture the can initially, it is an angle issue; which I hope I may get used to.

Solid, stainless steel CanOpener is the real deal.It replaced another unit that seemed robust, but the Qatar part was plastic and broke after several years. Not this one, this is metal and should last a long time.

Awkward to use. The lever falls into the contents of the open can if you are not careful. It is not one hand operation since you have to press the lever with one hand and you must hold the can with the other.
